Established in 2016, Thomas Nickles Project is a contemporary art gallery with a program of emerging and mid-career Cuban artists living in Cuba and abroad. TNP is committed to the exploration of the expanding concept of what Cuban art is and the criteria by which it is defined.
The gallery provides a platform for artists who are experimenting with a wide range of techniques, mediums, and concepts; the program is evolving, reflecting the dynamic nature of contemporary Cuban art. TNP aims to be a space for collaboration and dialogue, where Cuban culture and its representatives have a place in the New York City’s Lower East Side, with our program we aspire to broaden the Cuban art scene.
