DE SARTHE is a pioneering platform for boundary-pushing contemporary art from Asia. It has also contained an influential international presence in modern and post-war art since 1977.
DE SARTHE was founded in Paris (1977), later establishing galleries in America (1981) and most recently in Hong Kong (2010) and once occupied an 8,000 sq/ft space in Beijing’s renowned art district Caochangdi (2014-2018). Between 2017 and mid-2022, DE SARTHE showcased great variety of contemporary art from Asia in its 10,000 sq/ft space in Hong Kong. October 2022 marks the new chapter of the gallery as it moves into the heart of the city’s southside art district, Wong Chuk Hang, determined more than ever in supporting rising artists from the region and beyond
