Founded by Jennifer Chert, the gallery opened in September 2008 in Berlin, Kreuzberg, in a former mechanic workshop. After eight years, Chert relocated to a new space in the same neighbourhood. In 2016, Florian Lüdde joined the gallery as partner and the gallery changed its name into ChertLüdde. The gallery’s program focuses on international emerging artists and represents two historical positions. It alternates solo exhibitions with curated group presentations. ChertLüdde explores a variety of different artistic practices, visions and media including sculpture, painting, photography, drawing, video, performance and installation-based work. In 2022, the gallery will relocate to the Berlin district of Schöneberg.
